Make it Mod

Winter is here and it’s time to update your look. Bring out the layers; coats & gloves and a sexy pair of boots. Surely it’s time for a new hair trend and not just a rehash of something we’ve seen again and again over the past few years.

Trending right now are the pastel colours of candy, violet and duck blue as well as the brighter variations of the same hues which we’ve been witness to over the past few months. Longer, tousled and waved hair has been around for such a long time. We’ve had a fling with vintage styling, top knots and the ponytail… with Mod fashion all over the winter runways isn’t it about time we saw a return to precision haircutting?

There’s been a hint of a return to the original mod cuts first made famous by legendary Hairdresser Vidal Sassoon and with his recent passing it almost seems fitting to see a return to the original mod squad if just for a season or two.

We've had a sneak peek from the international runways followed by L’oreal Fashion Week and then the  Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival and most recently internationally renowned stylist Gok Wan, introduced all things mod to the mainstream as one of the hottest trends this Autumn/Winter for Westfield.

Will you be trying a sharp, sleek and sophisitcated bob this season? Grab your pea coat trench, shift dress and a pair of retro Chelsea boots and you’re ready!
