I know that quite few people following my blog love the brand and I am also a fan of Illamasqua ... it's an exciting product and concept, has amazing imagery and Creative Director Alex Box is a fantastic and inspirational artist.
As one of the organizers for the final Circa Nocturna Alternative Fashion Show earlier this year I was fortunate enough to get cult British beauty brand Illamasqua as a major sponsor for the event.
It was a great pleasure to work with Trudi Kynaston and some of her team at the Circa Nocturna event. 2 Melbourne Illamasqua MUA's created the make up looks for Melbourne Steampunk designer, Clockwork Butterfly and in the Myer Melbourne store the week before the show there was an exhibit showcasing 3 of this years upcoming designers work. Illamasqua also donated 2 fantastic door prizes and we were most proud to be involved in the launch of The Sophie Lancaster Foundation into Australia
Illamasqua generously offered a complimentary make up transformation worth $70 in every gift bag for our guests and I’ve been patiently waiting to get time to go back into the store and have myself a transformation.
Last week I celebrated my birthday and headed into the Illamasqua Myer Brisbane store where the delightful Tiarah gave me a Theatre of the Nameless transformation. I had a wonderful time with her and she did a great job. Had to have some Zeitgeist and Berber Pure Pigment! Berber is gorgeous. Wonderfully, intense metallic pigment.

Unfortunately I was a few days early to get to see and smell the much anticipated debut unisex fragrance, 'FREAK' which was being launched on October 20th.
The images from the UK launch looked amazing and I finally had the chance to pop into the Illamasqua Myer CBD Melbourne store this afternoon to try it for myself.

I decided on the limited edition gift box that came with your choice of a Nail Polish, Pure Pigment and Lip Gloss which was a great bonus. Even the packaging is wonderful, I don't want to unwrap it. A guaranteed perfect Christmas gift!
Couldn't go past Viridian Nail polish, Beguile Pure Pigment & Hermetic Intense Lip Gloss. Antonia gave me a great touch up with my chosen products and I left feeling and smelling fabulous. I'm looking forward to going back to see her for a dramatic make up look another time.

Belladonna (also known as the Naked Lady) - “quite a soft sweet scent”
Black Davana - “a deep ambery resinous velvet smell”
Opium flower - “a bit of a chocolatey aroma”.

Queen of the night flower (moonflower), which comes out one day a year - “an ugly looking thing, but the flower is beautiful”, when the flower blooms it has a really intense smell and then dies. “The scent is a cross between gardenia and a jasmine”.
Other heart notes includes Datura and Poison Hemlock.
The base contains:
Frankincense, myrrh and oud.
