Bring on the shiny, black, vinyl eye look. It's a simple combination of rich pigment black eye shadow and black high shine eyeliner with some vaseline or clear gloss smeared over the top.
It's a wet look and will crease almost immediately so unless you want to look very rock/heroin chic, it's a look best kept for night time or photo shoots. Most glosses will leave the eye lid more sticky and as soon as you blink the look is most likely to crease.
Just like shiny lips, getting glossy lids is an easy way to freshen up your makeup look.
A gel liner that dries quickly or a high shine glossy liquid liner is the best way to start the wet shiny eye and can used alone for a subtle day look.
Use a creamy eye shadow for a subtle take on the trend which gives a hint of glimmer for daytime with a more neutral tone or go all out and use a thick balm, clear gloss or vaseline for a high shine.
For a patent leather look
Rim eyes with a soft kohl pencil, this will help to anchor the eye shadow.
Circling eyes with pencil makes them smaller so smudge the lines outwards with a brush and they will look bigger. Applying eye shadow with a brush that's slightly moist will also help reduce fallout and intensify the pigment. Add some accent and press some black aubergine shimmer shadow over the top.Finish by curling lashes and adding loads of mascara.
To prevent fall out all together, do eyes first, foundation second.
On trend look for winter: Team with blood red lips and inky nails.
Expert tip: Store gel eyeliners upside down as it sends the moisture to the surface which helps the formula from drying out.
