Technicolour

Trade muted tones and make your peepers pop, get bright right with rainbow eye shadow hues of rich purple, midnight blue,  and vibrant golds that have made a triumphant return this season.
A pop of colour can brighten your look and you can wear a bright colour without looking clownish by using it as an accent against a more neutral tone like charcoal.

You can create a soft, smoky eye with cappucino shades and use a bright eye liner along the lash lashes or apply the bright hue to the inner corner and or along the lower lash line for an eye catching yet subtle way to work it. The key is blending, the lines should be softened out from the socket line and around the lash line.

Real world wearability?  Follow the trend and do it 20% for a wearable day time look. Try a hint of colour at first, whether it's a wash of  lavender over the eyelids or a coral tint on the lips.

Flawless complexion: No matter the make up look you choose primer is a must, apply post moisturizer and pre foundation for a smooth, sheer finish. Foundation will glide onto the skin, without settling into fine lines, open pores or scarring. Use a brush to apply full coverage foundation under the eyes and t-zone, and follow with a sweep above the jaw. Dust loose powder over the top. The fine, matte texture will keep skin looking sheer but polished.

Illuminate: Conceal under the eyes and any blemishes. Brush illuminator on top of the cheek and brow, down the nose to define and on the curve of the cupids bow to plump up lips. A little shimmer on the inner corner of the eyes will open them up, great for close set eyes. Use a metallic pearl eye shadow or pencil.

Perfect eyes: Prime the lids with eye shadow base for  long lasting and more intense colour. Dab on the colour with a brush rather than using a sweeping motion for a stronger colour deposit and extra staying power. Use a charcoal on the outer corner for a softer look than doesn't scream 80's. A black liner on the upper and lower rims help to give bright shadow depth and definition.
Use a little loose powder under the eyes to catch any fall out, the specks can easily be brushed away without ruining the foundation.

Longer lashes: Separate and coat individual lashes with an all in one lengthening, volumizing and curling mascara for lusciously lengthened lashes.

Accentuate cheekbones: Sweep mineral blush powder in a slightly warmer/deeper shade  than natural skin tone onto the temples, back of cheekbones and tip of the chin. This creates additional texture and definition. For an instant lift, use a generous sweep of rosy blush over the apples of the cheeks.

Fuller lips: Juicy hues make the perfect pick for luscious lips.
Metallic colour on the entire lip can be overkill, use a hint of gold shimmer at the centre of the lip to create a plumped up effect. For extra staying power, line and fill in the lip with a matching pencil.
If a punchy lip is not your thing team with a pinky nude lip gloss. Clean, demure and fuss free, warm, nude shades will enhance the look. Apply lip liner for contrast and definition.

Beautiful brows: A matt powder one or two shades darker than natural hair colour gives a soft look. Use a pencil if you want a longer lasting look. Draw tiny dashes, like hairs, then go over them with a brow brush to soften.

Expert tip: To add more zing to your eye shadow mix a metallic with a little water and run it across the lid several times for some extra wow factor.

The most wearable look seen on the runway was the two toned deep indigo eyeliner worn with 80’s inspired fuschia shadow. Go crazy with colour, add shimmer to your cheeks and be bold on your lips. Make eyes hot with shades of  citrus orange, peacock green,  cobalt blue or fuschia pink and team nails with a contrasting colour, perfect if your in your experimental teens and twenties.
